There are 190 students studying at the faculty of the Russian philology, and 214 students are studying individually. Almost 45,000 people are currently enrolled in a contracted scholarship, 238 in the field of non-formal education. Faculty specialties meet the needs of the labor market in the region and the country.

According to the schedule of the educational part of the university 27.02.2018. the faculty of Russian philology participated in the contest of showing folk crafts, dedicated to the celebration of the "International holiday Navruz" and "Year of development of tourism and folk crafts". As a result of the jury, the faculty took 2nd place and was awarded a commendable sheet named after the rector Abdullo Habibullo
On February 11, 2018, a scientific conference was held under the title "Women and the development of modern science", dedicated to the World Day of Women in Science. Dean of the Faculty Ph.D. Sharipova О.P. was awarded for active participation and great contribution to science.
