GENERAL INFORMATION
The faculty of the Tajik Philology and Journalism has the same age as university and was established in 1945 in the Tajik language and literature department. In the 1956-1957 academic year, the Faculty of Language and Literature was associated with the Faculty of History and became a Faculty of History and Philology. From 1961 until the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan the Faculty of History was cancelled, and the Faculty received the title of the Tajik language and literature. Since 2009, the Faculty of Language and Literature was renamed the faculty of Tajik Philology and Journalism. Currently, the faculty prepares the following specialties and specialists:
· Tajik Language and Literature;
· Journalism;
· Linguistics and new information technologies
Specialties of Faculty are beneficial to society, graduates of these specialties are engaged in and functioning in all areas of the country. It should be noted that the course of training is carried out in the day-to-day department of the credit system and in the non-formal department of credit and traditional system. 4 departments operate in faculty:
1. Department of Tajik Language
Department of the Tajik language is an integral part of the structure of higher education institutions, amongst the students and teachers, conducting scientific and methodological works. Teachers of the Faculty are conducting practical exercises from the Tajik language classes, history of language, methodology, literary languages, speech culture, analysis of text, text and implicit text.
2.Department of Tajik Literature
The Department of Tajik Literature is an integral part of the structure of the university and the faculty of Tajik Philology and Journalism, and guides students to educational, scientific and methodological work amongst students and teachers. The Department of Tajik Literature was established by the Order of the Rector of the Institute from November 4, 2010.
3. Department of Journalism
The Department of Journalism is one of the young department of the Independent Period, and in 2009, with the efforts of the teachers of the Academy of Sciences named after A. Rudaki Mirzoev Ghoyib, Abdulhay Qalandar, Sharofat Khudoydodova, Solehov Nurali and other teachers were established at the Department of Literature of the Tajik language faculty. After the successful work of the journalism department, the 2012-2013 academic year is dedicated to the Department of Tajik Literature and Journalism, it operates independently. Currently, Jumakhon Alimi, PhD, professor, is the head of the journalism department.
4. Department of Teaching methodology of Tajik language and literature
Department of the Teaching methodology of Tajik Language and Literature is independent since 1990. At the same time, teaching methodology and teaching methodology of the Tajik language was taught in the Department of Language and Literature of Tajik (1967) and Department of Tajik Literature and Department of Tajik Language (1968-1990).
